ONE MILLION!

If you haven't heard of Jipaban, where have you been?!

It's an online shopping portal, and Jipaban, in Hokkien, literally means one hundred of ten thousand, which then means one million (100 X 10 000 = 1 000 000, logical right?) and what better name is there to name a shopping portal. There's literally hundreds of thousands of stuff to browse through.

Even more apt, what better place is there to shop at for Chinese New Year?! Jipaban means one million, and it sounds lucky and auspicious! Shop there, and for all you know, you could win one million in mahjong this year! (Okay that's a bit far-fetched. One million Indonesian rupiah?? Who knows?! Could be!)

I really like Jipaban because they put in effort into creating lookbooks and outfits or gift ideas for each season. For example, I've received catalogues for Christmas and Chinese New Year, and it makes purchasing gifts for others or for myself so much simpler and faster!

This year, they've compiled four different themes for the ladies...

Firecracker Pop

Fortune Cookies

Spring Reunion

And my personal favourite (because I like florals and lace and am a girly girl that way), Shanghai Rose!

Each theme has a few looks to it, so there is variety to be chosen from!

The coolest thing is that you can even purchase the entire look/outfit in a bundle, and the bundles are all less than $100! For a dress, a pair of shoes, accessories, and a bag! How convenient is that! All you have to do is click on "purchase on bundle", specify your shoe size, and voila, the entire attire is in your cart!

It cannot get any easy peasy lemon squeezier.

Apart from lookbooks for ladies, they even created them for men! This is for all you lucky ladies with boyfriends (I am not envious, I am not envious, I am so not envious) who can shop for them, or for your brothers, or any men in your life!

If I were to receive a $100 Jipaban shopping voucher, how would I spend it this Chinese New Year? This question is quite hard to answer, because I am spoilt for choice... However, the lookbooks really appealed to me so I will generally stick to the outfits!

I'd get the floral maxi because I love maxis because I am tall and maxis complement my figure (hah! suck on that, short girls with boyfriends! uhhhh, yeah, although I don't have a boyfriend so I don't know what I'm saying this for) and that would be $30...

I'd get this cutesy matching pink sling bag at $16.... (Total so far: $46)

THESE HEELS. Were made for ME. $24.50! (Total so far: $70.50!)

I love this double-ring! Might be 'cos of the Tiffany-esque design, but it's gorgeous regardless. $6. (Total so far: $76.50!)

And of course, Chinese New Year stretches for more than one day and one dress isn't enough. If you're not the kind to go for sweet floral stuff, and you prefer bold siren red dresses, this is the one. $27! (Total so far: $103.50!)

So I'd have spent $103.50 on two dresses, a ring, a bag, and a pair of shoes! To me, that's totally worth it.

Especially because...

1) For any purchase, you get free delivery within 3-5 working days, anywhere in Singapore if you select standard postage!

2) If your purchase is over $100, you get FREE Jipaban Next Day Delivery! ONE DAY. That means you will definitely receive it in time to wear for Chinese New Year, AND IT'S FREE OF CHARGE. No transportation costs! No need to spend $2 taking the MRT to Orchard to shop for something to wear. (And another $2 home. And you never know if SMRT will break down. Your order will arrive in a day.)

I'm checking out Jipaban.com for my CNY attire and more!

If you don't celebrate Chinese New Year, fret not. Wondering what to do during your long weekend? There is a selection of books, movies, gifts and lifestyle options, and games (for all you guys and non-girly girls). You could purchase now and receive them in time for things to do on Chinese New Year, or if you have no plans for CNY, spend your hours on Jipaban!

Have a Happy Chinese New Year! With millions of friends and family and food and fun and love and money and whatever makes you happy! :)
